Welcome to the home page of

First Assembly of God El Reno Oklahoma!

Life is complicated.  Maybe you’ve experienced a “disconnect” between church and life. You came to church looking to fit the pieces

of your life together better through faith and left wondering how relevant your experience was.

FIRST ASSEMBLY is a growing church family.

We’ve asked hard questions about church and been given a vision for something new and relevant.

FIRST ASSEMBLY is a community of real people committed to following Jesus, to growing together and to experiencing life in a new way.

At First Assembly you will experience:

                 *   Uplifting Music

                 *   Messages of Faith and Hope

                 *   Activities for the Whole Family

This is your invitation to make FIRST ASSEMBLY OF GOD your church home, if you are not already an active participant in a Bible-believing church.

We would be honored to have the opportunity to get to know you better!

True to His Word

Read Jeremiah 1:1 through 6:30

Published: Jul 23, 2017

Then the Lord said to me, “You have seen correctly, for I am watching to see that my word is fulfilled” (Jeremiah 1:12).

It was a word of affirmation and reaffirmation. The prophet understood it. God reminded Jeremiah that He would do what He had promised to do. In the midst of every situation people face, God has something to say. God’s people understand what He says, but they need the reaffirmation when they have to wait for that word to happen.

Our confidence is not just in the word that has been spoken but in the One who spoke it. While we wait, trying to understand God’s timing, it is good to focus on whom He is.

When we read through the Bible, we see that God accomplishes what He sets out to do. Just because it takes time doesn’t mean it will not happen. He is faithful. When we have to wait, we should remind ourselves that He will accomplish His will in our lives.

Challenge for Today: Remind yourself when you’re waiting that God is always true to His Word.

Quicklook: Jeremiah 1:1–12
